Note to Self: Stay Aligned

  • Authenticity: Being true to yourself—your feelings, values, beliefs—and not wearing a mask to meet others’ expectations.

  • Integrity: The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. It's also about consistency—your actions aligning with your values, even when no one’s watching.

There are moments when I forget the deeper meaning of integrity—not just as a concept, but as a way of being. And when I lose sight of it, I feel it in my spirit. Things begin to wobble inside. So this is a reminder.

Integrity is sacred. It’s the alignment between my soul and my steps. It’s when who I am on the inside flows seamlessly into how I move through the world. It’s when I don’t fragment myself to fit in or to please, but instead live as a whole being—truthful, consistent, and rooted.

And authenticity—it’s the soul’s language. It’s the courage to be seen as I truly am, without the costumes or filters. When I’m authentic, I feel closer to something divine. There’s a stillness that settles in, even when life feels chaotic. I stop resisting the moment. I stop pretending. I return to myself.

There are seasons where I’m in what I call “neutral mode”—not striving, not proving, just climbing with quiet trust. And it’s in those seasons that I notice how small my anxiety becomes. It doesn’t disappear entirely, but it loses its grip. I feel guided instead of grasping. Aligned instead of scattered.

This, I’ve learned, is what it feels like to walk with integrity. To be inwardly honest and outwardly faithful to that truth. It’s a spiritual practice. It’s less about getting it right all the time, and more about listening for what’s true—and following it.

I don’t need to have all the answers. I just need to stay close to what feels real.

To ask: Is this me?

Is this true?

Am I moving from love, from faith, from centre?

If the answer is yes, I’m already home.

If the answer is no, I can always return.

That’s the grace of it.

A Poem

When I Am Aligned

When I am aligned, I move with grace,

No rush, no fear, no need to chase.

My heart is clear, my path is true,

I do what’s mine, not what they do.

No mask to hold, no role to play,

Just truth that guides me day by day.

Integrity—a quiet flame,

It keeps me rooted, still, the same.

Authentic steps, a soul laid bare,

No weight to carry, just open air.

The world may spin, the winds may call,

But I am centred through it all.

So when I drift or lose my way,

I pause, return, and softly say:

Be still, be true, and trust the light—

You’re held, you’re whole, you’re walking right.
